Father’s Day

The day is fast approaching when dad’s everywhere are forced by law to have a lie-in, get served endless mugs of coffee and hog the TV remote control for the entire evening. Yes, it’s Father’s Day. A special time to celebrate these unsung heroes of the home, because as Homer Simpson once explained to Bart: “Fatherhood isn’t easy, not like motherhood”.

So we have donned our thinking caps to search for some Chocovenyl ways to honour our dads. We have scoured the land to look for the perfect gifts. Something to put a smile on their faces and let them know that they are the bestest.

Here are some  well designed free prinables to get you started from the wonderful Hello Lucky blog and a Card Tie created by Ruban Collectif: DIY Father's Day

Check out our Father’s Day Pinboard at the wonderful design land of Pinterest packed with ideas: Father's Day Pinterest

We particularly loved the back-rub t-shirt and there’s a super cool idea for wrapping a Father’s Day gift in the style of a short and tie.

Father’s Day with Chocolove

Two areas started to emerge as perfect for our Chocovenyl designs; presents which can only be for a dad and presents which will help add coolness to their dad ‘cave’. This is what we came up with:

Top Dad

What better way to thank most deserving gentleman of the family than with this rather fine vintage poster emblazoned with the words “Top Hat For The Top Dad”. This can be personalised to include the dad’s name along with a short message. It’s guaranteed to add a bit of refinement and sophistication to any study or dad room. Dreamy Skylight

Finding the perfect gift requires blue sky thinking and that’s the inspiration behind this magical skylight. It allows dad’s to add a virtual window to their study or room – a window which, every time they gaze into, will be reminded of how much he means to you. This allows you to have a personalised message around the outer border, such as our own choice, “Love you to the sky & back”.

Scrabble Tile Stickers

Why should fridge doors have all the fun when it comes to leaving daft and touching personal messages, clever word of the day or just about anything he can come up with. The stickers are moveable.  This is everything dad needs to write his own stylish graffiti on the walls of his room. It could be an inspirational message or a memorable football score. It really is one of those gifts that keeps on giving.

 Silly Walks Wall Sticker

If there’s one thing dad’s are great at it, it’s being silly. And there’s no better way to celebrate this than a classic Ministry of Silly Walks sticker for the study or wherever dad goes to hide. The cross-stitch style also gives it the feel of a retro computer games for that extra wallop of cool. We hope there is something here which is just right for your dad. And if you’re a dad who’s secretly reading and itching for something we’ve shown, you just have to keep browsing this page and coughing loudly until somebody notices. Or you could always attach some post-it notes to the monitor – but maybe that’s a bit much.
